Spaces that work for a living.
Offices, retail lots and F&B spaces carry a harder brief than a home: downtime is money, and the space has to earn its keep from day one.
Commercial work we take on
Duotone takes on office interiors, retail lots, F&B outlets, clinics and studios across the Klang Valley. The work ranges from a fit-out inside an existing shell to a full renovation, and in some cases reinstatement-ready planning for tenants who need the space returned to base condition at the end of a lease. Every commercial brief is different, so scope is agreed case by case, after we understand the business, not before.
A retail lot is judged on how it moves customers past the merchandise. An office is judged on how it holds up to daily use by people who did not choose the furniture. An F&B outlet has to survive a kitchen, a service rush and a health inspection, often in the same week. We ask about the business first, because the space is only doing its job if it fits how that business actually runs.
The same one-team discipline
Commercial clients get the same structure we use on every residential project: a single point of responsibility, itemised quotations, and a scope settled before work starts. The space is built by the same team that drew it, so there is no gap for the drawing and the site to disagree in. Deadlines are treated as part of the brief from the first conversation, because a late opening costs a business real revenue, not just inconvenience. We do not promise specific timelines here in writing, since every fit-out has its own variables, but we talk about your handover date early and plan around it honestly.
Working around an occupied building, a shared corridor, or a landlord's own house rules is common in commercial fit-outs, and we plan the sequence of work with those constraints in mind rather than discovering them mid-project. If your lease or your management corporation has requirements that affect how or when we can work, tell us early and we build the programme around it.
An honest note on our portfolio
The projects photographed on this site are residential homes. We are not going to show you commercial renderings dressed up as finished work. Commercial references and project details are available on request at a consultation, and the process you would see on a residential job, defined scope, itemised pricing, one accountable team, is exactly what carries over to a commercial one.

Fair questions, straight answers.
The same answers we give in person, written down so you can hold us to them later.
Do you handle office and retail renovation?
Yes. We take on offices, retail lots, F&B outlets, clinics and studios across the Klang Valley, and each project is scoped case by case, since a clinic fit-out and a retail lot have very different requirements.
Can I see examples of your commercial work?
The portfolio on this site is residential. Commercial references and project details are available on request at a consultation, and the same team and process deliver both, so what you see in our residential work reflects how we operate on commercial projects too.
How do commercial quotations work?
The same discipline as residential work: scope defined first, an itemised line-by-line quotation, and one accountable team from design through construction. Talk to us early about your handover date, since deadlines are part of the brief for any business.
