Interior design, around the way you live.
Residential interior design in Subang Jaya and across the Klang Valley. Before we choose a single finish, we learn your routines, your frustrations, and what you hope will change. The design comes from that, not from a catalogue.
What interior design covers at Duotone
Interior design here is not decoration. It is the working plan for how your home functions: where the light falls in the morning, where four people's shoes actually go, whether the kitchen works when two people cook at once. We design the structure of daily life first, then dress it.
- Space planning. Layouts drawn around circulation, storage and daily routines, not around furniture showrooms.
- Material and colour boards. Real samples, chosen for how they wear in a Malaysian home, not just how they photograph.
- Lighting concepts. Layered task, ambient and feature lighting planned into the ceiling and joinery from day one.
- Built-in furniture and joinery. Wardrobes, media walls, kitchens and study nooks detailed for the exact wall they live on.
- 3D design and working drawings. You see the space before it exists, and the site team builds from the same drawings you approved.
Designed and built by the same team
Most renovation horror stories start in the gap between a designer's drawing and a contractor's interpretation of it. At Duotone that gap does not exist. The studio that designs your home is the team that builds it, one contract and one point of responsibility from first sketch to handover. If you only need the design, we offer that too, and the drawings you receive are detailed enough for any competent builder to price honestly.
What it costs, said plainly
Projects we take on typically range from around RM30,000 for partial work to RM500,000 and above for a whole home. Your number depends on scope, property type and materials, and we will give you a realistic range at the first consultation, before you have committed to anything. Every quotation is itemised and explained line by line, so you know what each ringgit is doing.

How much does interior design cost in Malaysia?
It depends on the size of the space, the scope, and the materials, and anyone who quotes before understanding those is guessing. As a design-and-build studio our projects typically range from around RM30,000 for partial work to RM500,000 and above for a whole home. At a free consultation we give you a realistic range for your specific space, and every quotation is itemised and explained line by line.
Do you offer interior design without construction?
Yes. Design consultation and interior design are services in their own right. That said, most clients come to us precisely because the same team that draws the design also builds it, so nothing is lost between the drawing and the site.
Which interior design styles do you work in?
Modern, contemporary, minimalist, japandi, Scandinavian, luxury modern, warm modern and classic contemporary. Style is the last decision we make, not the first: we start from how you live, then choose the language that fits.
Which areas do you cover for interior design?
We are based in Subang Jaya and design homes across the Klang Valley: Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur, Puchong, Klang, Kajang and greater Selangor. Projects further out may be possible depending on size.
